Installation steps for your Smart Fridge and Smart Pantry
Before installation, ensure that:
- the pre-installation site survey is complete
- your products and planogram have been setup on the Micromart Platform
Equipment Required
- Philips screwdriver
- Exacto-style knife
- Scissors / Side Cutters
- Merchandizing Accessories: Pushers, eTag mounting rails, eTags (25x)
- Smart Phone with a web browser and working rear-facing camera
- Credit card (for testing)
Set an installation appointment with Micromart
Once your shipment arrives to your local area, you will be contacted by your local white glove provider to schedule a delivery date and time. Email support@micromart.com with your expected installation day and address.
- Let Micromart know when you expect to be on-site to install your Smart Cabinets and we'll be sure to support you remotely.
- Expected setup time per cabinet: 2 hours
1. Receive your cabinet, power it up & unlock the door
- Set a delivery appointment with your logistics provider
- Meet the truck at the scheduled appointment time.
- Inspect and confirm that the unit is free for damage or defects before signing to accept the delivery. If any damage or defect is detected,
- Remove the cabinet from the pallet and remove the packaging materials (covered by white-glove service)
- Review and remove the warning labels
- Place the cabinet near the final installation location (near power source)
- Turn on the back battery
- Power up just the compressor/fridge (90 deg power cable only)
- Unlock the door and take out the POS, shelves and mounting accessories
- Slide the cover to the left, hold "P" and "U" buttons for 5 sec to unlock the door (this will only work during initial setup)
- Take out the POS box
- Take out the shelves, shelf mounting clips and zip ties
- Install the POS on the door
- Connect the (1) power cable and (2) Ethernet cable to the POS
- Slide the top of the POS into the mount, and then snap the bottom into place
- Secure the POS from below with the 2 provided screws
2. Power up the electronics & contact Micromart to configure your cabinet
- Plug in the straight power cable. This will turn on the router, computer, screen, POS and eTag communications hub
- It can take 3-6 minutes for the router to connect to the nearest cellular tower. Once connected, the system will start to download the latest software updates.
- Locate and document the serial number of the unit(s). This can be found on the inner left wall of the cabinet, on a silver plaque.

How to Unlock the Cabinet
3. Install the shelves and product pushers
Safety Warning
At least 2 zip ties must be installed per shelf to secure the shelf to the cabinet's frame. Failure to do so will risk the shelf falling, potentially resulting in bodily injury and damaged products.
- Install the shelves with Zipties (per the provided map for your planogram)
- Install pushers in accordance with your planogram.
- Ensure that the front rail of the pusher is installed as far forward on the shelf as possible.

4. Install and pair the Digital Price Tags (eTags)
- Install the eTag Mounting Rails per shelf. These easily snap on to the lip of each shelf
- Snap in the eTags into the Mounting Rails. Slide them left/right to align with your products.
- Pair the eTags and assign their location in the cabinet
- Before proceeding, ensure that your planograms have been approved in platform.micromart.com
- With your smartphone, login to platform.micromart.com and locate the cabinet you'd like to configure. From the "options" dropdown, select "Assign price tags"
- Tap each cell in the planogram, and use your smartphone to scan the barcode of each eTag.

5. Test and finalize
- Perform a System Check to verify that all devices and software are running as expected
- On the POS, tap the top-left corner twice and enter the passcode "91823"
- Tap "System Check'
- If any errors are reported, contact us via the Live Support chat to troubleshoot
- Perform a Test Transaction: Verify end-to-end system operation. As a customer would, tap your credit card, unlock the door, wave your hand inside the cabinet, and close the door.
- Pictures: Take pictures of your newly installed Smart Store from a variety of angles. Upload them in the Platform and share them with Micromart :)
