Setting Up Your Roller Shelf for Optimal Product Dispensing

Guide to Assembling and Merchandising Your Gravity-Fed Shelves

Notes

  • Use Appropriate Products: Verify that the products intended for this shelf are compatible with the roller design and gravity-fed dispensing system.
  • Ensure Secure Attachment: Always double-check that the wire dividers, front stopper, and risers are firmly in place to prevent product misalignment or spillage.
  • Handle with Care: Take extra care while peeling the adhesive backing from the aluminum risers to avoid misalignment. Once stuck, the adhesive bond is strong and difficult to reposition.

What's Included:

  1. Roller Shelf (1) - Main shelves with rollers

  2. Wire Dividers (10) - To organize products

  3. Aluminum Risers (2) - One larger than the other, to create an angle for gravity-fed dispensing

  4. Acrylic Front Stopper (1) - To prevent items from sliding off

Step 1: Install the Acrylic Front Stopper

  1. Locate the rail at the front edge of the roller shelf.

  2. Slide the acrylic stopper into the rail until it fits securely across the entire width of the shelf. (it is notched and only fits in one way)

Step 2: Place or Attach the Aluminum Risers

The risers are to be placed below the roller-shelf to create an angle, that will allow the gravity and rollers to glide products to the front of the shelf.

  1. Place the two "I" beam riser on the shelf
    • The tall riser should be located toward the rear of the shelf
    • The short riser should be located toward the front of the shelf
    • Tip: the "I" beams are angled on the top surface. Ensure to point the angle to align with the slop of the shelf.
  2. Place the roller shelf on the beams and test with product to ensure they smoothly glide down. Slide the beams back (shallower angle) or forward (steeper angle) to create the desired gliding experience for your products.
  3. (optional) Once satisfied, secure the risers to the roller shelf by removing the adhesive protector on the risers and sticking it to the roller shelf.

Step 3: Attach the Wire Dividers

  1. Identify the grooves or slots on the roller shelf.

  2. Clip the wire dividers into these grooves, spacing them to match the size of the products you plan to display.

Step 4: Place and Load the Shelf

  1. Load the products onto the shelf, ensuring they roll smoothly. Make any adjustments to the wire dividers as needed

💡 Test the rolling action by placing a few items and observing how they move forward.
